Engine Oil & Fuel Heater Installation

Critical installation criteria for optimal performance

Important: Do not trim or cut the TITAN heater pad. Installation must be on metal surfaces only (steel, aluminum, or cast iron).
1

Surface Preparation

The installation surface must be smooth, flat, and free from bumps or ridges to ensure complete contact with the heater pad.

  • Clean the area thoroughly to remove all dirt, grease, oil, and paint
  • Use a cleaning agent that doesn't leave oily residue
  • Sand the application area if necessary for smoothness
  • Ensure the surface is completely dry before proceeding
2

Pre-Application Warming

Warm the engine to raise the oil pan temperature before installation. This ensures optimal adhesive bonding and proper pad conformity to the surface.

3

Pad Application

The TITAN heater pad features built-in adhesive backing. Do not use additional adhesives.

  • Peel off the protective backing from the heater pad
  • Warm the pad for three seconds to activate the adhesive
  • Carefully apply the pad to the prepared surface
  • Press firmly to ensure complete contact across the entire pad
4

Sealing & Weatherproofing

Seal the outer edge of the heater pad using the supplied high-temperature silicone adhesive. This protects against moisture, oil, and environmental contaminants.

5

Cable Routing

Route the electrical cord using the supplied cable ties to your desired plug connection point. Ensure the cord is secured away from moving parts and heat sources.

Fuel Filter Heaters

1

Wrap the heater around your fuel filter

2

Secure using the integrated velcro strap

3

Route electrical cord with cable ties to plug location

Note: A DC contactor is recommended but not mandatory for this installation.

Battery Warmers

1

Position the warmer underneath your battery

2

Ensure complete contact with the battery base

3

Route electrical cord with cable ties to desired plug location

Installation Time: Typically 5-10 minutes for complete installation.
